In 1952, Hope Enterprises, Inc. was founded by physician Dr. Max E. Miler, and his wife, Leona, as well as other parents and community leaders in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. From the very beginning, this organization has been a front-runner in providing innovative ways to support people with disABILITIES. Even after 70 years, that innovative and unique approach remains at the code of this organization. Through personalized services, integrated employment, community-based living, and supporting a person's everyday life, Hope continued to push the mind of what an "inclusive community" looks like in central Pennsylvania.
