Official tournament rules
Scramble format
  • 1. All players to play at scratch. No handicap strokes will be counted.
  • 2. All players hit tee shots. Each player’s tee shot must be used at least three times per round.
  • 3. Choose the best drive and have all players hit their next shot from that spot, within one club length, no closer to the hole and played from the same cut of grass. Should a team’s selected shots lie in a hazard, bunker, fairway rough, or green-side fringe, then all team members must play their shots from the same conditions.
  • 4. Once on the green, each player’s ball must be placed within 6 inches of the ball marker, no closer to the hole.
  • 5. Continue this sequence until the ball is holed out.
  • 6. Once a ball is holed out, play is completed for that hole. Record the score and confirm it with your scorer.
  • 7. The tournament is a 72-hole cumulative scramble event. All teams will have the opportunity to play The Ocean Course, Turtle Point, and Osprey Point over the four-day tournament.
Rules of play
  • 1. All counting putts must be holed out.
  • 2. Play all balls “up” throughout the course. Improve your lie no more than one-club length, no closer to the hole. You may rake sand traps between shots.
  • 3. U.S.G.A. Rules, except as modified by local rules, including the 14-club rule, will apply. Players may not share clubs.
  • 4. At the completion of each round, each team’s scorecard must be signed by one team member and attested to by your scorer. Together, the team member and the scorer must turn in the scorecard to the scoring table immediately following the round.
  • 5. All ties are to be broken by the hosting PGA Professional, who will match scorecards. Ties will be broken by comparing the scorecards of the tied teams hole by hole. More specifically, the professional begins matching cards by comparing the final round the #2 scores of each team on the men’s number one (#1) handicap hole. If one team has a better score on the #1 handicap hole of the team’s second round on the #2, that team wins. If the #1 handicap hole is tied, the second round scores on the #2 handicap hole are compared by the pro, and this process continues until a winning team is determined.
  • 6. Decisions of the golf professional staff and tournament management are final and not subject to appeal.
Please replace all divots / rake sand traps and repair ball marks.
