The Jeff Brennan Memorial Golf Outing raises funds to support the Amyloidosis Foundation and the Metropolitan Section PGA Foundation’s junior golf programs on Staten Island paying tribute to a beloved friend, family man, and avid golfer. In 2020, Jeffery Harold Brennan passed away unexpectedly from amyloidosis, a rare illness that is estimated to effect less than 200,000 people in the U.S. population. One of the major challenges this illness presents to patients, families, and the medical community is the current lack of early diagnosis and the Amyloidosis Foundation is committed to help with that fight.
Jeff Brennan loved playing golf and frequented the course with friends and colleagues, even traveling as far as Scotland to play at The Old Course at St. Andrews Links - the oldest golf course in the world. There is no greater way to honor his passion for golf than to pass that legacy on to junior golfers through supporting the Metropolitan Section PGA Foundation’s programs right here on Staten Island. Jeff's impact on the lives of those close to him was, and continues to be, immeasurable. Inspired by his legacy, Jeff's family and friends organized the annual Jeff Brennan Memorial Golf Outing, which will host its 4th annual event on Monday, June 17, 2024 at South Shore Country Club.
Proceeds will benefit the Metropolitan PGA Foundation (www.metpgafoundation.org) supporting Junior Golf on Staten Island and the Amyloidosis Foundation(www.amyloidosis.org).
